Full fat rice bran contains its natural oil content (typically 15-20%). Defatted rice bran is the product left after the oil has been extracted, making it lower in fat but higher in protein and fiber percentage.
Stabilization is a crucial heat-treatment process that deactivates the lipase enzyme in the bran. Without this step, the oil in the bran would quickly become rancid, degrading its quality and nutritional value. All our export-grade bran is stabilized.
